Untrained carpet cleaners may use harsh chemicals in their pre-treatment sprays, which can damage carpet fibres or even lead to permanent discoloration (bleached areas). Additionally, they may leave the carpets too wet, resulting in mustiness or mould. In the end, the customer pays more having to call out the experts to mitigate the damage done. Sadly, in extreme cases, carpets may need to be replaced.
Yet, the most expensive carpet cleaner is not necessarily a safeguard either.

Our pre-treatments for stain removal are designed to address a variety of carpet stains caused by:
We use trusted brands to neutralize strong odours. While some of our products are not odour-free rest assured they are safe, and any scent left behind is temporary and likely to dissipate within a few hours. Nevertheless, if you need Odour Free Products - Please make your request known at the time of booking.
Why not include sanitization with your service? We have disinfectants to eliminate those hidden germs. This add-on service is popular in households recently recovered from illness and with customers moving homes.
If your carpet still looks relatively new, you may wish to consider a carpet protector application after we have cleaned it. It provides a barrier around the carpet fibres which prevents liquids from absorbing deep into the underlay. Liquid spills remain at a surface level so you can quickly mop them up.
After your steam cleaning, we can apply a specialized topical spray to your carpets for an extra charge. We use 3M Scotchgard Carpet and Fabric Protector.
1. Pre-Inspecting the Carpets
On arrival at your home, the carpet cleaning technician will inspect the carpet to be cleaned to assess its condition, identifying any problem areas showing stains and soiling or emanating odours.
For households with pets, we use a blacklight on the carpet to identify urine, fresh and old.
Carpets are made of different materials, and the technician will assess what products to use, what pressure to apply and how much moisture your carpets can tolerate.
In addition, the technician will go over the booking details with the customer to ensure the price is as expected.
2. Vacuuming the Carpets
We request that customers vacuum their carpets before our arrival. Doing so helps keep the costs down. Vacuuming is necessary because it ensures the removal of any loose, dry dirt ahead of the pre-treatment application. However, for carpets posing unique challenges, such as pet hair, our advanced equipment and processes are available, albeit at an additional cost.
3. Managing your Furniture
We ask our customers to pick up small items and clear away breakables (where practical) ahead of the service.
While we handle the movement of smaller furniture items on the day of the service, larger pieces can only be moved with advanced notice and for an additional fee. The reason for the extra charges is twofold:
Firstly, we have to employ an extra technician. It is not wise for one person to move large items, and safety must come first.
Secondly, the process of moving bulky and heavy furniture, cleaning the area and then putting the furniture back takes longer and is more labour-intensive.

4. Pre-Spraying Carpets
The first part of our cleaning process involves spraying the carpets with an eco-friendly pre-treatment using an in-line injection sprayer. The treatment helps break down stubborn dirt and grime ingrained in the carpet fibres.
5. Treating Stains & Soiling
Heavily soiled areas receive extra attention with specialized stain treatments.
6. Activating the Pre-Treatment
The pre-spray and soiling treatments are left for about fifteen minutes, allowing the product applied to fully activate. Activation helps maximize the effectiveness of the carpet cleaning process.
7. Agitating the Carpet
Sometimes, the technician will need to agitate the carpet manually to loosen and dislodge offending particles in the fibres. This step may incur an additional fee, which will be clarified during the quoting and booking session.
8. Hot Water Extraction
Next, we carry out a high-pressure steam cleaning formally known as Hot Water Extraction. High-temperature water is injected into the carpet using a carpet wand. Simultaneously, a powerful suction extracts the water, bringing with it the dirt and grime embedded in the carpet.
Sometimes, the cleaning is done using truckmount equipment, and at other times, a portable system is used depending on the location of the job. For example, high-rises cannot be done with a truckmount.
Residue Issues - The technician will ensure that any residue has been eliminated from the carpet. However, if necessary (such as residue left from previous carpet cleaners), a neuralization product can be applied to balance the PH.
Dry Passes - Our equipment has a powerful suction which extracts excess water to prevent carpets from being too damp. Sometimes, the technician will do extra dry passes (i.e. no water injection but just pure suction) to reduce the drying time. Occasionally, alternative drying methods are used, too - such as fans.
9. Final Walk-Through
At the end of our service, we do a final walk-through of the job with you to ensure you are satisfied with our work.
You will notice that there is no mention of upselling above. That is because we do not use bait-and-switch tactics. Instead, when we book with the customer, we ask many questions. This allows us to be confident that the price quoted will be the price paid, so there are no surprises on the day of your service.

Our Safe Rug Cleaning
To preserve the integrity of your flooring, we advise against cleaning area rugs on hardwood or laminate surfaces. Rugs should be cleaned on carpeted or tiled areas. After cleaning rugs need to be placed somewhere to dry. However, we do not recommend leaving them to dry on carpet or hardwood floors, but perhaps you can hang them over a railing on the deck or place them somewhere clean in your garage.
Delicate and Specialty Rugs
Please note we gracefully step aside from cleaning Persian, Silk, Antique or Oriental Rugs along with some Wool Rugs due to their need for specialized care.
